In the documentary film, Will Barnet: Tracing the Soul of the Work, viewers are offered an intimate visit with this respected artist. Throughout the film, the ninety-nine year old Barnet, discusses his processes and takes us inside many of his most iconic paintings. While doing so, he gives us insight into the personal motivations that have guided him throughout his life. From Dale Schierholt the director of Nevelson: Awareness in the Fourth Dimension and A Visit to the Star of Hope: Conversations with Robert Indiana, this film is more than a portrait of an admired artist, it is a profile of a beloved human being.
