How the Matriarchal Minoans Began Western Civilization; And Why They Disappeared

Art historian and museum educator Roger Dell will give an illustrated lecture on the art and religion of the Minoans, a prosperous, seafaring, matriarchal culture that thrived 3,500 years ago on the Greek Islands. Many scholars believe that this highly advanced society to be the source of the myth of Plato’s Atlantis.
 
Roger Dell has written a historical novel titled Kalliste that recreates the world of the Minoans. After the lecture, the book will be on sale and the author will sign copies.
