This event takes place at Flanagan Community Center (61 Limerock Street) in Rockland.
LINE DANCE CLUB, led by Katie Rose McLaughlin, is a community dance workshop for all levels and abilities. She’s offering one session in Rockland, the day prior to her New Century Series performance. All are welcome!
Workshop description: "LINE DANCE CLUB is an inclusive space where we gather to learn existing line dances and make up new ones. Everyone gets to create a move -- it can be anything! -- then I put it together, and we learn it as a group. ... This springs from a physical practice that DESIGNATED MOVEMENT COMPANY does with every show we make, and I’ve started to do it with my freelance theater and musical theater work as well. So it’s all these communities and vocabularies melded together, and it has the capacity to grow and evolve with each session, as we keep on adding new dances and revisiting old ones. No previous dance vocabulary is required."
