The tale of two fragile vampires who have been lovers for centuries

Noted indie director Jim Jarmusch directs this vampire story set against the romantic desolation of Detroit and Tangiers. Tom Hiddleston stars as Adam, a bloodsucker who makes a living as a reclusive musician. Deeply depressed by the direction of human activities, he reunites with his resilient and enigmatic lover Eve (Tilda Swinton), a fellow vampire who leaves her home overseas to be with him.  Their love story has already endured several centuries at least, but their debauched idyll is soon disrupted by her wild and uncontrollable younger sister (Mia Wasikowska). Can these wise but fragile outsiders continue to survive as the modern world collapses around them?

… the artiest, most sophisticated pair of vampires to hit screens in a long time.  - USA Today

If Jim Jarmusch’s languorous, laconic style isn’t your bag, his stone-faced vampire comedy won’t make you a believer. Those who’ve already been bitten, however, will swoon like the film’s toothy leads whenever their lips touch neck juice. - Time Out New York
