Special Screening from the Maine Jewish Film Festival

At the administrative office of a remote Israeli desert army base, women serving compulsory military duty suffer from numbing boredom, bureaucratic malaise and the disregard of male officers. Daffi schemes for transfer to Tel Aviv to realize dreams of high-heeled glamour. Her friend Zohar, burdened by virginity and the certainty that the entire base is crazy, escapes by playing "Minesweeper" on an outdated office computer. Through darkly comic, absurd and sometimes tragic characters and experiences Daffi and Zohar come of age in love, loyalty, friendship and survival.
