Something bad happened to Agnes. But life goes on… for everyone around her, at least.

Sorry, Baby, a black comedy drama, is the stunning directorial debut of Eva Victor, who stars in the film and wrote the screenplay during a winter in a cabin in Maine – with only books, movies and a cat for company. Eva first gained notice through their TikTok videos and web series, Eva vs Anxiety, which were seen by director Barry Jenkins (Moonlight) and his producing partner, Adele Romanski. Barry was curious and contacted Eva through social media. During an early meeting at his Pastel Productions, Barry told Eva that they should be a director. This inspired Eva on to write the screenplay for Sorry, Baby, which they set in Maine, but filmed in Massachusetts. The movie made a splash at the Sundance Film Festival in January, where Eva won the screenwriting award, and strong reviews led to a multi-million dollar acquisition by the acclaimed film distributor, A24.
