SUNDAY CLASSICS SERIES
This month’s screening is co-presented by Making Community Happen

Longfellow Deeds is a man of free will and few needs – a poet from the fictional small town of Mandrake Falls, Vermont who makes his living writing greeting cards and plays the tuba in the town band. When he suddenly inherits a massive fortune from a deceased uncle, Deeds is whisked away to another life altogether and surrounded by a cadre of folks who all hope to make a little something off of his sudden windfall. Clear-eyed Deeds proves hard to fool and, though he doesn’t have any use for the money himself, he commits to give it away to those he sees struggling around him.
