Filmmaker Dale Schierholt’s adaptation of Samuel Beckett’s poignant exploration of aging, memory, and self-reflection. Joseph Coté stars as the titular character, an aged writer who on his birthday, listens to an audio recording he made on his 39th birthday and grapples with the sorrow and regret that define his changing self-perception. “Krapp’s Last Tape” blends humor with sorrow in a distinctive manner that is uniquely Beckett.
