Health and Safety Policies

WELCOME TO THE STRAND!

To keep our patrons and staff safe, we will continue to adhere to the Covid-19 safety guidelines and standards set by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and local and state health authorities. We ask that our patrons and staff follow these protocols:

We require all Strand patrons and staff, regardless of  vaccination status, to WEAR A FACE MASK  that covers the mouth and nose upon entering the theater, and to remain masked for the duration of their stay, except when seated inside the theater while eating and drinking.

MOVIES   Audience capacity is capped at 100 people (30% of  auditorium capacity). Seating is general admission; however, we ask that you practice careful social distancing when choosing your seat.

MET OPERA LIVE-IN-HD BROADCASTS    Audience capacity is capped at 100 people (30% of  auditorium capacity). Audiences will have reserved-seat ticketing that provides a buffer of space around each party.

LIVE CONCERTS and PERFORMANCES    Audience capacity is 100%. Staff, volunteers, artists, and audience members are required to show proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test taken within 48 hours of the start of the concert or performance, and a valid photo ID, at the door to gain entry. Children under 12 are exempt from the vaccine/testing requirement but must remain masked while at the Strand.

PROOF OF FULL VACCINATION—14 days after final vaccination—includes a vaccine card or a clear and readable photo of your vaccine card. Please be ready to show your vaccine card AND a valid photo ID.

PROOF OF NEGATIVE COVID-19 TEST RESULTS must be from a test taken within 48 hours of the start of the concert or performance, and must be an official lab results report that includes your name and the date. Results from at home tests will not be accepted. Please be prepared to show negative test results AND a valid photo ID.

Strand staff will be monitoring patron compliance with these safety protocols.

If you have purchased a ticket to a live concert or performance and cannot or do not wish to comply with this policy, you may request a refund for your purchase at [email protected]. Please include your name and ticket confirmation number.

SAFETY PROCEDURES AT THE THEATER

The ventilation system has been upgraded with a new control module allowing pinpoint control of fresh air flow, UV light purification, and MERV-13 hospital-grade air filtration.

Extra staff time has been allotted for enhanced cleaning of our auditorium, restrooms, and common areas, and a hand sanitizer station has been installed.

A plexiglass barrier at our concessions counter protects both staff and patrons.
