CMCA’s 2025 Distinguished Lecture Series will feature Mary Louise Schumacher, director of The Dorothea and Leo Rabkin Foundation, and Jarrett Earnest, artist, writer, curator and 2021 Rabkin Foundation Prize winner. The Lecture, in the form of a dialogue, will take place at the Strand Theatre. A reception and book signing at CMCA will follow.

Mary Louise is a veteran journalist and former art critic for the Milwaukee Sentinel. She recently completed an award-winning documentary film about art critics, called ”Out of the Picture.”

Jarrett is the author of several books on art and art criticism, including What it Means to Write About Art: Interviews with Art Critics (2018) published by David Zwirner Books. Jarrett wrote the interview of Nicole Wittenberg that appears in Phaidon Press’ recently published monograph of Nicole’s work.
