Co-presentation with the Center for Maine Contemporary Art
Albert Lamorisse’s beloved 34-minute short film follows a young boy and a spirited red balloon through the streets of Paris.
Following the screening at the Strand Theatre, families are invited to CMCA’s ArtLab to create and decorate their own hanging paper balloon sculptures, bringing the film’s imaginative use of color and visual storytelling into a hands-on artmaking experience.
