Support Friends of the Strand Theatre
Please support the historic Strand Theatre, midcoast Maine's home for the best of current independent films, live concert, comedy, conferences, The Metropolitan Opera and National Theatre of London Live in HD broadcasts, and other special events to our stage and screen.
The theater, first opened in 1923, was extensivley renovated in 2005 -- transforming the building into a state-of-the-art theater and cultural center. The Strand is committed to bringing its audiences in the midcoast and beyond the highest quality presentations, most creative programming, and truly unforgettable experiences.
The Strand Theatre is now a nonprofit cultural institution, operated by the Friends of the Strand Theatre. The Simmons family gave the theater a new life ten years ago, and now they have generously given the theater to the community.
Friends of the Strand Theatre needs your support! Your gift will help make it possible for the Strand to continue as an independent theater, and for the community at large to reap the economic and cultural benefits of this historic venue.
I would like to make a tax-deductible contribution to Friends of the Strand Theatre:
